I'MPOSSIBLE

Okay, so sometimes if not all the time, we feel unloved, not cherished and even worthless because of different circumstances in our lives like depression, losing a loved one or not being understood. It is okay not to be okay but it is not okay to not okay forever. God in His word has not promised us a life of no problems but He promises us joy in His presence (Matthew 11:28-29). I went through a season of sorrow and God was like "child, what is impossible to the world , I will prevail in your life as possible". You are not impossible but rather possible despite the theories of the world. I painted this abstract painting, to document the journey of a feather, a feather that was proven not to have any effect on water as it lands on it, but hey with God.....things happen dude. The feather landed on water and created a huuge splash, which is scientifically impossible. You are loved, you are possible, you are cherished despite how you feel....it's a fact, choose right!!

KNOW YOUR WORTH

John 3:16 " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son to die for us, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life".

We are the precious of all creations in the world, despite our constant habits of sinning, God sent His only son to come wipe all the bad we have in us, and mainly a manifestation of the love of God. Value is put in great things and a human being has so much value attached to him/her. Once you know what value you have, noone can ever try and manipulate you into thinking otherwise. People in a healthy, loving relationship are able to treat each other with respect and appreciate their differences. They both know who they are and their identity in Jesus Christ.Never settle in a relationship where you feel unworthy of love, you deserve better!!!

LET US TALK INTIMACY

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 "4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

One thing is for sure, we are made out of intimacy. In the beginning God created us upon His likeness and gave us dominion unlike any other of His creation( Genesis 1:26). It therefore inevitable that we feel love and we also want to love because that is what God has set upon our hearts. Intimacy is one word that is misunderstood, once you are intimate with someone then it is bound with sex, outside marriage, this is not the true essence of intimacy. Love is stated in the bible as being patient and kind and nowhere mentioned lustful (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). It is important to understand true intimacy when you are in relationship with someone and the boundaries between intimacy and lust. What is lust? Well explained in the Word, it is an act of sexual immorality and it begins in thought like any other sin. Therefore anything act that leads to a lustful thought is across the boundary of intimacy (1 Corinthians 6:18) . How does one then know what lust is? Lust is a desire of the flesh and not guided by the holy spirit, what the flesh desires to do but the spirit refuses.

It is significant to set boundaries when you are in a courtship with your partner, boundaries that determine intimacy and lust. Seek the advice from adults and your pastors and most importantly your Saviour, trust me He will guide you.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP?

1 Corinthians 3:11 "11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ ".

As stated last week, every relationship one is in, is to be ordained by the Lord and to know this you need to hear from God. Intimate relationships always become some how complex . Once you are able to understand why you are in a relationship then things become easier. The reasons of being in a relationship need to be set out clear. When one is in courtship with another, they are in a process of getting to know each other and whether they are compatible to be husband and wife. Therefore what takes place during this process or period, needs to be of good act and purity. The mere "feeling" of assurance that this person is either your husband or wife does not guarantee you marriage. One significant factor is to have a wise perspective within a relationship rather than one based on feelings because guess what these disappear over time. A relationship based and founded on the strong foundation of Jesus Christ is better set of for life than on set on sole feelings for each other.

Allow your growing relationship with Jesus Christ lead to the right partner as they do the same:)!!

GENESIS 2;21-22 "So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man."

Relationships are inevitable, from the time of birth we have already established a relationship with our mothers. It is funny how God's true identity is portrayed in our daily lives, like the relationships we have. These require constant communication just as it is much required of us to keep constant communication with Jesus Christ through prayer. For the next week (set upon my heart by the LORD) I will be speaking of women and men relationships and not friendships but rather on a more intimate relation. I have no idea what the programme holds but for now it is significant to comprehend that any relationship one is to be involved in, is to be ordained by God.But how will one know? Well by establishing a relationship with Christ. Once each individual knows their identity in Christ no-one can never rob them of their value especially within relationships:)!!

Is my existence of such terror?

Every breath i take seems like a sin

You strip me naked, with the ideas you have attached to me

You portray my body as a table to lay down your sexual desires on

You lay me down on the floor like a dirty cloth that needs to be sorted out

But I swear, i have a deeper meaning to me

I was well crafted by my Creator

He created my palms to touch the sick, yet i am seen to be a disease

My eyes foresee greatness the world holds

My womb carries wisdom to feed the hungry

I was made for intimacy and not for rape

Royalty lies within my soul

Let our souls intertwine with peace, I promise I will not bite

THE LOVE OF A MOTHER

" 10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. 19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed"

The love of a woman, a mother changes nations. Great women have left great legacies, across political, economic and social platforms. Women like Margret Thatcher have left both the political and economic status of the world changed forever, Bessie Head has changed the view of African literature forever, the legacy that has been carried out by women in the bible is evident even till this day. Sarah herself was the mother of all nations and carried her husband through all his tribulations. A women's Love can make a huge difference in society, her love lasts forever and her smile portrays her true loving identity. She uses her hands to sustain those around her, whether it is her husband, children or her community. Her creativity is beyond imagination as it is what she is born to do:) Cherish your mother, biological or not. I love my mother, she is my best friend.
